HOW TO ANALYZE PLOT
1. Introductory paragraph
The Help is a story of many complicated problems which is very interesting to see. The events in the story are very unpredictable and surprising. The audience is led to a point where they have no option to guess the next events of the story. Even though the story is about something popular and also common in literature, but the way the writer creates complex conflicts in unique point of view makes this story worth seeing. The sequence of scenes always provokes the audience to be curious to raise a big question about what will happen next. Therefore, it considerably appropriate to have the plot as the subject of analysis. To make it more specific, this analysis of plot will be discussed based on the protagonists, Skeeter and Aibileen.
2. Exposition
- Place (The Help Cleary took place in Jackson, Mississippi. The place where racism was the darkest history. This city is located in the South East of America. Mississippi is the states in America the which has the larger population of black people. The population of black people in Jackson, Mississippi is 45 per cent of the total population. It means that existence of black people is very significant for the society. White unavoidably Rely Reviews their life too much on the presence of black people. The white people need to hire black people to make their life Easier. Black people can be a maid, gardener, shopkeeper, or other low-level jobs. As we know, the march of African-American people in Washington DC was done in 1963, and Martin Luther King was appointed to deliver a famous speech "I have a dream". (There are Several information about the past that we can see at the beginning of the story. The information is about the main character such as Aibileen or Skeeter. One of the background stories that the audience can infer is that Skeeter used to have a maid named Constantine. It can be seen when Skeeter told her friends that Constantine had stopped working at her home. Beside the background story of Skeeter, the audience can also see the previous life of Aibileen. The statement of Aibileen Cleary told the audience that she used to have a child - a son. He passed away when he was still 24 years old.

- Conflict 1 (Skeeter VS Hilly)
Skeeter wants to treat black people equally. Skeeter want to tell people how is the feeling of being a black maid for white people's houses. Skeeter Interact with black people the same way like she Interact with white people. On the other hand, Hilly wants to treat black people differently. Hilly want to preserve the unequal treatment for black people by persuading the city council to make a new regulation that is related to sanitation; black people should use different toilet separated from white people. The clash between Skeeter and Hilly was firstly noticed when Hilly explained about her plan "Home Sanitary Initiative", and Skeeter naturally respond that Hilly deserve to be treated in the same way. It indicates that Skeeter disagree with what stated Hilly Because We know that Skeeter has moderate opinion about the position of black people in her point of view. The second clash between Hilly and Skeeter was seen when Hilly found that Skeeter always postpone her initiative in the newsletter, and Hilly Also noticed that Skeeter had the Book of the Law of Mississippi in her bag. Therefore, Hilly Skeeter warned to pay careful attention on every action she did. The third clash is when Hilly hurriedly drove to meet Skeeter at her home. Hilly finally Realized that Skeeter has published her writing about the real situation in Jackson. Hilly extremely embarrassed Because this book contains her most embarrassing secret.
